STI 38sup/9mm mags

I need a little educating here.  I am assuming that the mag bodies for 38 super and 9mm are the same.  The 10 rd mags that came with my 9mm edge have a spacer behind the follower (guessing to compensate for the shorter 9mm round).  My question is can I replace the follower and insert a spacer into a 38 super mag to make it work for 9mm?

Yes, STI 9mm mags are .38 super mags with a spacer and different follower.

I shoot 9x19 in the 38 super mags all the time. OAL and bullet shape  can make all the  difference in the world so if you have problems, try that.  I run 1.080 with a 115  JHP for a steel load and they feed fine. before switching teh supoermags around, give it a try, it just might work.

The best ones are the SVI but the STI work fine. I do not use the spacer but I suppose you could. I use the same setup for 38 super as well.

Can I ask this question the other way around?

I'd intended to order some STI 38 Super mags and ended up with 9mm mags by mistake.

Could I use these mags to run 38 Super?

The STI magazines are 38super/9mm. If they have a spacer simply remove the spacer. Ready to race. SV magazines are also 38/9mm don't require a spacer because of slight design diffrences. I hope that info helps.

Would depend on the gun. STI/SV wide bodies. SV mags are probably the best choice no spacer to deal with. I don't have any experience with 1911's.
