imechura
I went out and shot my 1st 3-gun match and brought twice the birdshot than was required. The only problem was that it could not knock over the steel targets with my #8 low brass. Thanks Merlin for loaning me that box of cartages so I could get through the next stage. Thanks, Ian Mechura

No.343
I came to the same match without magazines and with bad ammo for a new pistol. Merlin lent me mags. Sounds like he deserves a good Samaritan award.
sargenv
It's funny, I always bring about twice as much ammo as I need, and usually 3 or 4 shots sizes and generally more than adequate power for what I'm shooting. The 3 1/4 dram 1 1/8 loads always work and tend to work better when my shotgun gets a little dirty. Vince
outerlimits
i remember my first 3 gun nats-walked a stage the day b4 the match and saw us poppers at 30+ yds hidden amognst the sagebrush. left the range and hit walmart for some high base 6's. used hem on that stage and always bring them to every 3 gun match since...just in case... get2now
If the barrel isn't choked tight enough you just might not get enough pattern on it anyway. All I use are 8 shot trap loads with a full or modified choke and I've never had a problem. Gary
