  1. I use only use one-shot and spray it, then walk away for a few minutes. I don't like the smell. Never had a problem though. Thanks for the information.
  2. No. I got some delivered about a week ago. You just have to be on the site at the right time.
  3. Sarge, it was a different time then and it helped that most of the LE knew who he was and knew his father was also LE. The remark "you caught em, you clean em" was in jest, but seemed like the appropriate joke at the time.
  4. What if there were no physical or procedural changes? Is it then subjective to the match director to decide. The rules above that are mentioned don't seem to cover the procedure of tossing a stage because it was, yeah, I'll say it... "Gamed".
  5. I worked with him and on his ranch in Alpine for ten years. He helped more people and causes than you can imagine. He had the biggest heart and was willing to give you the shirt off his back. He will be missed more than ever. Rest In Peace Marc. Gary
  6. I've loaded Montana Gold 115 gr HP's with 4.7 grains of VVN320 through a CZ SP01 for a 131 PF.
  7. Sorry it took so long to respond. 1.125. I don't change the OAL for different guns either.
  8. For 9mm I only use Bear Creek 125 gr. lead TC bullets. I'm currently using 4.4 grs. of WSF with a Win primer. Makes a 133 PF from my CZ SP01. 4.2 grs. of N330 with a Win primer out of the same gun made a 128 PF. 4.0 grs. of N330 with a Win primer from my G17 and factory barrel made a 123 PF. 3.6 grs. of Titegroup with a Win primer from my CZ made a 137 PF. 3.8 grs. of N320 with a Win primer from my CZ made a 136 PF. N320 is my favorite with N330 next then WSF and Titegroup. Work up your loads first though.
  9. I've loaded about 3,000 Bear Creek 9mm 124 gr. lead TC bullets with my Hornady bullet feeder. Of those 3k, I've probably had 20 drop in upside down. There is some fiddling that has to be done with the adjustments but I have found it is still money well spent. I have it attached to my RL1050. There was some tweeking just to make a mount so it would work with that loader. The 9mm bullets dropped through the collet and spring tube with ease right off the bat. I just switched it over to .40 and had a lot of trouble with the plastic collet. The bullets, (Bear Creek .40 cal. 180 gr. lead TC's) would not drop into the spring tube. I had to take a dremel and open the plastic collet a little so it wouldn't squeeze the tube. Now they drop through just fine. Changing over to 45 will be next but that's in a couple months. Those bullets will be Bear Creek 200 gr. lead SWC's. There is one thing though, I lay my arm across the cartridge bin just like when I would load with a handfull of bullets and place one on each cartridge. Because the bullets are bigger they have a tendency to lean over when the shell plate advances to the next station. I don't have any experience with any other loader than the 1050, but I'm really glad I got this feeder. One other thing, the collet in the dies can be adjusted. They have slots in them creating 4 fingers which can be opened wider or closed. I had to adjust the 9mm die but not the .40.
  10. New brass is always like that for me. Spray your brass with Hornady OneShot and see if that makes a difference.
  11. Way to go Barry.... I feel safer in "A" class now.... I'll be on Oahu next month and I had planned to take the Superferry over to shoot a couple matches with you guys but, to my knowledge that boat is history now. I guess I'll just have to tuff it out and shoot against Keith... Gary
  12. If you're trying to make a 175 pf or more with really light bullets then I can see this happening. I cracked three barrels in 9x21 with light bullets too. It happens. Gary
  13. That's just wrong on so many levels. Now he'll never get any sleep. BUT... no worries Butch, if you need me to thump on anyone for you on your daughters behalf, you let me know. And just in case it's really that bad... got any guns for sale???.... Gary gee thanx, gary. say, i heard you made quire an impression with your new club down there. Rumors... Can't prove anything....

  15. Check this place http://www.ablesafe.com/ or this one http://www.bullockssafes.com/ . They might be in your area. Here's an interesting and informative link on safes too. http://www.6mmbr.com/gunsafes.html Gary
  16. Just remember, given the time and opportunity it doesn't take much to get into a gun locker. This is why I replaced my Cannon safe that was in the garage with a Sturdy safe. I was looking at the American Security too, but I was able to get Sturdy safe cheaper. Gary
  17. I heard this a few years ago too. Don't know if it's true or not but now I don't fill it all the way. Just let it stop on it's own and add a little to even the charges. Gary
  18. I have the same problem. I use custom ear plugs but if I didn't have those I'd use the foam plugs. I think the ear muffs get in the way and that bothers me during shooting. Get some foam plugs for about 50 cents and try it out. Gary
  19. Firing pin stop. Two cracked in the last 20 years. Nothing else though. Gary
  20. Bear Creek 125 gr. TC .356 dia. 6.6 gr. N350 WSP, OAL = 1.095 Small frame EAA Witness 4.5 inch barrel Average FPS 1346 Kinda snappy but that's what kind of powder I had. Gary
  21. Yep, sounds like the primer pocket expanded. Will cause nothing but problems if you try to reload. G
