rgkeller
Is there a trick for removing an AFTEC extractor. I can't get the hook to clear the breechface. Thanks
GentlemanJim
Use a soft pointed tool and push the hook outward to clear the breach face and into the hole, pull out from back of slide/ Jim

TCK
+1 on the springs and keeper. The end of an old toothbrush works well and wont mar anything.
zhunter
A sturdy, i.e. think barreled golf tee works too!!!
HSMITH
I put a little dab of grease in the spring pockets and on the sides where the keeper fits over the extractor, that way when you pull it out the next time you don't have to go find a flashlight that actually works to find enough pieces to put it back together........ jessej
After removal you might need a tiny screwdriver to push in the keeper to get it back in.
