Mahead
from time to time in a match my support hand will engage the slide stop, locking the slide back so I have to release it to keep going. Anyone here cut the stop so that it will not extend out of the frame?
GlockSpeed31
I simply remove mine. Have shot many matches over the years w/ no problems. Most people will tell you not to do this, as it locks in the trigger pin. You can always check between stages that your pin is in place. I hade the same problem as you, this is why I started removing the slide stop lever. Or you can change you shooting grip.
Flexmoney
Removing it or cutting it down isn't legal for USPSA Production. (just an fyi) Other than that, sure...you can cut it down. You might even get away with a bit a glue and stay Production legal by making some mods inside the gun.

38supPat
I used to just remove mine, no effect on the gun whatsoever
chrisa006
If you have an extended one 34/35 get one out of a 17 or
chp5
Use the non-extended version. I take pliers tighten up the angle as well.
TimWarner
I cut mine down to a little tab, sanded the ribs out of it, and polished it up. Usable if I need it, but not enough to accidentally hit.

Trey1975
I bought a 35 W the release already chopped down...works great for me! I cant stand the extended one,but I do like having one installed either way.You could go buy a normal one for around$5...that might also fix your problem.Good Luck!
