SiG Lady
Door hinges: Just got a routine call today from a friend in Florida. She sez the doors on homes down there do not open inward like they do 'up here'... something to do with the nature of hurricanes and windstorms in general. Run n Gun
Many local fire codes require that doors on public building open outward. I guess their thinking is that in the event of a fire that an outward swinging door won't allow the panicked people to stack up against the door, not allowing it to open as would happen with an inward opening door. Out-swing door has the hinges on the outside. Ed
