DJPoLo
My "range cart" lost a pin that holds the sides on. I got a single replacement from the manufacturer, but I want a handful of these for replacements. They wouldn't let me buy 'em and only offered to send the one. Does anyone know where I can buy them? It's 4.5" long. -Chet

Merlin Orr
TRACTOR SUPPLY OR NAPA?BIG WILL I think Big Will hit the nail on the head. If not an exact match you can find something very close. I use something very close to this for several farm implements for the John Deere.
GringoPerdido
Try Lowes, Home Depot or the equivalent. I have purchased similar pins there. They are usually in the aisle with the bins of drawers for nuts, bolts, etc. with pictures on the face of the drawer.

open17
Farm supply store, your local ACE hardware, maybe Home Depot. From your picture it looks a lot like a 3/16" hairpin clip. Not exactly--but close enough.
JFD
Any decent hardware store should have several choices that will get the job done.
ORCA
Try http://www.mcmaster.com/ Look up hairpin cotter pins. Mcmaster-Carr has everthing and it's always in stock.
DJPoLo
Thanks, y'all. None of the "big-box" urban hardware stores in my 'hood had anything close. I'll give the other recommendations a try. -Chet
EricW
Definitely the farm store. They'll have baggies of what you seek for under $2. I go through a lot of them on the plate rack.
dajarrel
And when in a bind, for a temporary fix, a welding rod or nail run through the hole and bent around will do. FWIW dj
