Carlos
Glock has simply out-marketed their competition. Certainly the design outstanding. However, they have also: -stood behind their product, no questions asked (like Dillon) -aggressively gone after law enforcement markets (there must be thousands of niche LEO buyers in the US) -in some cases, GIVING sample glocks away to LEO/department members for "testing" -offering a reduced price to individual officers for a Glock carry gun -training thousands of armorers & equiping them w/ parts w/ instructions to fix any broken glock, anywhere in the USA -Creating GSSF w/ an eye toward the COMMON man & not the specialists that the rest of us have become -recruiting the most friendly & attractive shooters for their team (yeah - I admit it kinda pissed me off when the old gorlfriend went on & on about how handsome Dave is). -supporting USPSA & IDPA So, is anyone listening at Springfield, Kimber, H&K, CZ-USA, Ruger, etc?? Having just tried out a friend's M&P the other night, I think S&W may have something w/ which to compete with the Glock product. Product seems OK - so let's see if their marketing department will get a clue from Glock. Edited January 5, 2006 by Carlos
SRT Driver
Nice ad! Noticed that it looks like the cover of "Mr & Mrs. Smith".
BritinUSA
Nice ad!Noticed that it looks like the cover of "Mr & Mrs. Smith". I noticed that too, except that Julie G. looks a tad hotter.
SRT Driver
I noticed that too, except that Julie G. looks a tad hotter. +1 and we know that Julie can actually shoot. Angelina can fly an airplane etc but shoot...dunno. The similarities work too. While I didn't see the movie, I think that it works. Dave and Julie aren't married or divorced (as far as I know ) but both a fighting each other for national title etc. Pretty cool.
Rocket35
My wife got one from Julie signed by her and Dave. What service huh? She had Dave sign it for her and Julie to sign it to me. The scan didn't come out very well, but you get the idea.
reneet
Perhaps a shooting contest (not really - but it'd be fun to watch) Dave & Julie VS Brad & Angelina
Rocket35
We all know that would be incredibly one sided!! But yes, fun to watch...
Trisha Lowry
This ad was actually Julie's brainchild and part of what she does at Glock. I am sure if you send her an email she would be happy to send you one! She is one cool lady!
Rocket4
Yeah she sure is. I look forward to meeting her at the ladies camp in April. She send my picture out real fast. I asked for it in December ( close to x-mas) and I got it before New Years. Great picture Julie and Dave!!!
