Dillon550b .38 Super To 9 Mm

I'm moving from .38 super to 9 mm major load.

Currently using dillon 550B.

Do I need to change any of the dillon parts?

Same shell plate, different dies. 9MM is a shorter, tapered case. The locater pins are the same, but may have to be turned down a little. Some Super cases have wide rims ans will hang slightly (at least they did in my 650). I turned down the first locator pin about .002.

You'll have to re-adjust your powder die. The Super case is longer.

Correct, only the dies change from 9x to stupor. Locator pins, shellplate and powder measure/die are all exactly the same.

You need new dies and a new neck expander for the powder die. Brian sells them for $8.00 or so. look under loading bench or email him.
