edwin garcia
I'm moving from .38 super to 9 mm major load. Currently using dillon 550B. Do I need to change any of the dillon parts? Thanks in advance! Edited December 27, 2005 by edwin garcia
Scout454
Same shell plate, different dies. 9MM is a shorter, tapered case. The locater pins are the same, but may have to be turned down a little. Some Super cases have wide rims ans will hang slightly (at least they did in my 650). I turned down the first locator pin about .002. You'll have to re-adjust your powder die. The Super case is longer.
D.Hayden
These break down the parts needed to convert the 550 to another caliber: http://www.dillonhelp.com/rl550benglish/cal_conv_chart.htm http://www.dillonhelp.com/rl550benglish/ca...s_ref_chart.htm (I don't do Super but..) Looks like Super to 9, no changes needed except dies...
George
Correct, only the dies change from 9x to stupor. Locator pins, shellplate and powder measure/die are all exactly the same.

AWLAZS
You need new dies and a new neck expander for the powder die. Brian sells them for $8.00 or so. look under loading bench or email him.
