eric nielsen
Take the cheapest gun oil that you have and put a drop in each chamber of your comp. Spread it all around the chambers with a Q-Tip and you're done. Works as well as anything.

Harmon
i shoot a shot of spray silicone followed by a shot of WD40 in the comp seems to keep the lead down, but the powder fouling seems to stick harder. OpnBlstr
I just clean the comp every thousand rounds or so in Slip2000 Carbon Cutter. Take the barrel out, stick the comp in the bottle for 10-15 minutes, and brush out the crud. It literally comes off with a Q-tip. Then I rinse in hot water to get the CC off and oil it up. I have been trying out a new shorty open gun for a few months and if I showed you the comp today you would think it was brand new. Good stuff. Harmon
I'm supposed to be cleaning my comp i cleaned the crap out of my comp and the gun shoots softer. even with the OIL and silicone, the crap still builds up. JHP bullets really help, but the precision delta bullets shoot really good!

Harmon
an oxidizer and weak acid...hmm. sounds like your setting up a corrosion(for lead, perhaps steel if left unattented too long) reaction to clean the comp.
Behr
Anyone know if Slip 2000 Carbon Killer is safe to use on hard chromed comps? Wondering if it will get between the metal and hard chrome and cause it to flake off over time.
