Sig Romeo 3 Max version change

I was having intermittent issues with my brightness adjustments, mostly down, emailed Sig, the sent me a shipping label, I sent it off, and received it back in less than two weeks.  Great service.  Pulled it out of the box and it's not the red dot I sent, it has different buttons and says "JAPAN" on the bottom cover.  I don't care about any of that, but has anyone else seen a change when buying a new one?  Sig is known for making changes and not saying anything about it.  I wonder if there are any other changes besides just the buttons.  They fit more flush to the body.  I also thought they made all their red dots in the US.

R3Max and 3XL have always been made in Japan, supposedly same factory that makes the RTS2.

Really, I guess I don't remember that on the bottom of the old one.  Thanks for the info

RTS2, R3 max/xl and FTP Alpha 3 are all made in the same factory.

Same factory, does not necessarily mean same production line, Quality Control specifications, or component specifications.
