kwelhand Posted October 30, 2022 Share Posted October 30, 2022 Purchased a threaded 11/16-40 pitch Patriot Defense 9mm Tanfoglio Match Bull Barrel a year ago. I need a compensator that fits 11/16-40 pitch and also clears the limited custom frame. Unfortunately, PD is out of their comp and not sure who has anything that fits above thread pitch. Also anything cheaper than PD comp? any 2011 comp with 11/16-40 thread pitch? I have a mini-mill, and I could mill out the side for frame clearance if needed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. MikeBurgess Posted November 2, 2022 Share Posted November 2, 2022 if you have a mill you will probably be happiest with milling whatever 2011 comp you like to clear the frame rails, you will also need to angle the back of the comp to match the slide, this is also better than using an off the shelf one as you can adjust the slide to comp clearance for a better appearance. That said actual comp design makes no difference, if it did, every comp by every manufacturer would be the same or as close as patents if they were used would allow, but they aren't.
