A used plain jane CZ-75 in .40S&W???

My LGS has a used CZ-75 in .40S&W.  It is on consignment for $525.

Yeah, yeah, I know pics would help, but is there anything I should keep an eye out for if I go back for a second look?

I am trying to rack the ol’ memory banks here.  That has to be the first CZ-75 I have seen in .40 cal .

I still have plenty of .40 brass and projectiles.

Would my Mec Gar 9mm CZ-75 mags work in it (like my Beretta 92 mags work in my 96’s).?

the mecgar AFC mags should be no problem,

pistol I am guessing is either 75B 40 DA/SA or 75B40 SA only

the older 9mm mags, the feedlips will need to be opened up to get the round higher in the mag to feed.

It is definitely a double action to single action gun.

Here are some pics:

Standard CZ 75B DA/SA .

They made the black, duotone, and a full silver finish back then.

Notice the heavier full profile slide, without the taper like a 9mm.

Yeah, I noticed that the .40 slide didn’t have the “Hi-Power cut”.

I made it to the range today with factory ammo.

It seemed to like the 155 grain Federal (American Eagle) ammo the best:

10 shot group…slow deliberate, 2 handed, freestyle (not using a rest)

  • 2 months later...

looks to be in decent shape, mecgar mags should work fine in 9 or 40, the trigger on the 75 has nothing on the shadow though. looks like a good deal. I would save up for a shadow in my experience
