Bayou
Is it preferred to have a stand a lone magnet on your belt or on your mag pouch? Curious as I'm getting my first set up, thanks.
dapribek
I have a separate magnet in front of my first mag pouch and it works out well. I already had my pouches so I really didn’t have a choice. If I started from the beginning, I’d buy a pouch with the magnet already attached because it would take up less space on my belt. Hope this helps.
eboadway
Just check that a magazine on a pouch-mounted magnet doesn't put it beyond 2 1/8th inches for Prod, SS or CO.
BRuss
DAA standalone magnet centerline + magnet on side of first Racer. More consistent mag placement and holds big sticks better. I haven't tried the smaller standalone magnet pouches that have indexing guides. Edited January 29, 2022 by BRuss Added image
aandabooks
I just run the one that I make with a spacer. I keep it just to the right of the centerline and use it mainly for a make ready mag. It is also there for the occasional table start.
open17
Centerline belt magnet on my CO, Prod and SS belts. DAA magnet on front of #1 mag holder on my Open/Limited belt. I actually like the magnet on mag pouch better---but already had belts set up for CO/Prod/SS with pouches that won't fit a front magnet when they changed the rules.
