ede
I'd like to add a comp to a TacCom lightweight barrel. I never checked but I doubt there's enough material to thread for some sort of adapter. The workable option I think is drilling holes or milling slots. Has anyone done this or have ideas on shape of hole/ports. Thanks
EarlKeese
My Taccom 9mm ULW barrel has slots milled in it. Why do you want it for the .22? I don't see it making a difference with the large diameter shroud and less gas.
ede
I wondered if it would do anything. Mostly for the timer to pick up.
EarlKeese
My shrouded .22 barrels are plenty loud enough for the timer. Never been an issue.
ede
I've never fired a rifle with tube barrel. I get rattled a bit with reshoots and want to eliminate that. Maybe I'll take it for a test drive when I get it together before thinking about ports or a comp.
Gregg K
You will be fine. You will not need ports or a comp for the timer. The shrouded barrels are picked up just fine by the timer.
TRUBL
The TACCOM shrouded barrels are MUCH louder than your ave 16" barrel.
bigdawgbeav
While I do not have the Taccom barrel on my 10/22 I do have the Wiland and have never had a reshoot because the timer didn't get my shots. This is with any ammo from MiniMags to Standard Velocity.
