  1. Center fire pistol iron then optic, second day or afternoon same order Rimfire pistol
  2. All I've shot for a while is ISR and OSR plus revolvers in Rimfire.
  3. Been shooting revolvers in rimfire for years.
  4. I shoot iron and optic revolvers in rimfire and centerfire.
  5. Me, friend of mine, and Mike Carmoney all had a hand in them. Bruce Warren does something similar but uses modified TacSol barrel. I think he’s copied my cylinders, I gave him measurements few years ago.
  6. I’ve used DS 10 with no problems but later switched to Speedbees. I’m running factory springs. My triggers are around 8#.
  7. I've never fired a rifle with tube barrel. I get rattled a bit with reshoots and want to eliminate that. Maybe I'll take it for a test drive when I get it together before thinking about ports or a comp.
  8. I wondered if it would do anything. Mostly for the timer to pick up.
  9. I'd like to add a comp to a TacCom lightweight barrel. I never checked but I doubt there's enough material to thread for some sort of adapter. The workable option I think is drilling holes or milling slots. Has anyone done this or have ideas on shape of hole/ports. Thanks
  10. PSC is a nice range and great SC match. Miss shooting there.
  11. I use 95 be. Bayou and either Bullseye or Unique mostly because I wanted to get rid of the powder. Can't remember the charge weight. More than you'd think because I had a problem with too light a charge causing the primers to back out. Next time around I'll load with E3, I like it in my revolvers.
  12. Thanks revoman that's along lines of what I was thinking for 629. I think Short Colt and wadcutter will be close to same length cylinder but not checked yet. I might of posted this before, one of my 617s from a few years back and why I have tools for K Frame.
  13. No real application I'm just bored. Heres what I'm thinking, have a 64 going with medium to heavy barrel and CMore maybe cutting cylinder back to wadcutter length. Plus side to this is I have tooling to do it. Other idea is a 629 I don't care much for. Going with either skinny or fluted barrel and going 5" with irons. Down side is I'd have to buy tools. Anyone have photos of what my end result might look like or any thoughts of what might work well.
  14. Los Alamos Sportsman Culb couple hours away. Match depends on weather and is not on calander, contact match director for info.
  15. This is my main SC handgun. Last several years I been shooting more rimfire.
  16. I drill out the flash hole to near diameter of primer. Not had any issues after doing it.
  17. Congrats on your first pistol. I've shot as many as fourteen matches in a year now one or two. GSSF is all over the place on how well the match is run. Most ROs don't shoot it or understand the rules and sort of wing it best they can.
  18. I'll be back and looking forward to the next chapter in Rimfire Challenge
  19. OK I figured it out. Drive out pin under rear sight shown in photo push out FP and bushing towards barrel. Replace in reverse order.
  20. Also have a 17-8 that is same configuration. How do I remove the firing pin 617-2?
  21. I have a couple 617s with aluminum barrel with steel liner. They work well. I'd like to do a 627 and/or 929 for Open and Limited at some point. Sorry no photos on this puter
  22. I've shot Open with a 627 w/CMore just to do it, I finish last every time.
  23. I use a 327 JM with 95gr. Bayous over 4.2 gr. Bullseye. I have a 386 I love to shoot and use at times but if the 8th rounds really matters the 327 wins out over the 386.
  24. Love shooting there. Might be on a new job by then so that may be an unknown. I'm cancer free just need to learn to pee again and get out of diapers. I'll miss the revolver match but will make rimfire and steel long as jobs don't get in my way.
