jstagn
Want to shoot some steel matches, currently using 8 lb. recoil spring for 170 PF. Want to download to about 130? How much lower spring weight? Thanks
zzt
I can't get anything to feed with less than a 7 lb. recoil spring. So I have to keep my PF up around 145+ to get the gun to cycle, and that is with a super radiused FPS.
UpYoursPal
I shoot factory 9mm with a 6lb recoil spring and single port comp.
BrianATL
A 7lb is pretty much as low as I could go and have reliability. Major or minor
38super
What's wrong with using open loads? Dropping PF will change cyclic timing.

Many clubs request you do not for fear of ricochets and/or damage to the steel. Other have a max fps they allow. Loading down to the 145~155 PF range is easier on the gun, makes MDs happy and feels just like major with a little less hit to the hand.
38super
Bounce back stems from dimples or plate angle, copper jackets are nasty. SWPL and NRG don't restrict PF, but nice to know
