Can I use a Patriot Defense extended firing pin for IPSC? Tried searching and couldn’t find the answer

Not allowed, only OFM parts. You can use Xtreme parts and I believe Unica parts. Appendix D4 #17 IPSC Rulebook

I mean 18.4 says "Aftermarket springs and trigger assemblies are permitted"

 

Is firing pin part of trigger assembly? Or is it just trigger shoe, trigger bar, sear, hammer?

I’ve been thinking the same thing. I’ll just put my oem firing pin just in case but if someone else who knows better can chime in.

I have to ask this question and no I have never shot an IPSC event.

 

Is there a gun dismantling and inspection?

 

In USPSA at all major matches I have been boxed, mag (size), weight, chrono'd, and belt checked, but never have I seen a dismantling of the pistol.

 

Just curios.

On my side of the world, the gun check is primarily an external overview, check of the safety features, and boxing for the divisions that have a box rule.

I believe this gun is going to a higher Level match on the opposite side of the world, though.
