gl
Promotional Mini-Posters will be available to be autographed by Alan and Zak: <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Who do you think will win??
John Dunn
My money's on Zak. Alan may have his pick of full auto's, but Zak is a steely eyed death dealer, just look at the picture. He should be Captain Zak Sparrow!
Sam
This was a tough one......I had to vote for Zak (the maniac) to win the shoot-off, because he knows so much about the bullet in flight, and all kinds of stuff that only a professor of ballistics should know, that when he's talking about long range rifle shooting, I just pay attention and nod and stuff (like i actually understand) so as not to look as stupid as I actually am on the subject. But, then.........Alan has full-auto gunz and the way-cooler hat. Say, come to think of it, shoudn't somebody be wearing a cavalry hat? It is Cav Arms! Zak, ditch the pirate hat and get one like Larry Storch wore in "F" Troop! BTW who's the real skinny guy with the swords and what's he doing at a match? Looks like a tweaker to me..... George
I think Zak may just have what it takes to best Alan. But Alan has two things going that Zak doesn't. He's got a Class III USAS-12 mag fed shotgun and he's older and therefore more treacherous ;-) -- Regards,

John Dunn
The scrawny guy is most certainly a tweaker, I think that's his meth lab exploding in the background! Maybe Mr. Minnesota and Mr. Tampa Bay do some contract work for the DEA? Sam to Zak at the ITRC, "Why don't they put dimples on bullets like they do on golf balls?" Zak to Sam (audible eye roll), "What are you smokin'? Got any more?" Actual conversation edited, but the question was real!
glockster96
Yar. I wonder if Zak believes in the Flying Spaghetti Monster.
Zak Smith
Sam to Zak at the ITRC, "Why don't they put dimples on bullets like they do on golf balls?" I am convinced Sam's real purpose in posing that question was for it to take over my brain the rest of the ITRC.
CWG.223
Will the 2 competitors be required to wear those really cool hats?
Sam
I am convinced Sam's real purpose in posing that question was for it to take over my brain the rest of the ITRC. Thanks for giving me the benifit of the doubt Zak. Even if the question did take over your brain, you still whupped us with half of your brain tied around the question. No actually, the question was for real. Whether I'm receiving or giving instruction, I always operate on the assumption that the only stupid question is the one that goes unasked. I could accept the empirical evidence that "it must not be a good idea", because nobody makes bullets like that. Or I could ask the question, seek the answer, and learn a bit more about exterior ballistics along the way. Thank you for your answer BTW, it was pretty cool. Zak Smith
howstuffworks.com has a pretty good answer about golf balls, laminar flow, etc.

MKuhn
I have herd that these guys are like super human, the big one is bullet proof, shedding shot and shell like rain off a windscreen at high speed. The other in the scary hat is like shooting at smoke, he is so slight projectiles will pass through him with out hitting any thing.
bluker1
Ok I went the range yesterday and did some practice for Trooper Class. I made a short 2.6mb QuickTime (7.0 Required) movie of the practice session. I was working on my rifle up close shooting.
