xtian999
I find it difficult to get the takedown nut cranked down tight w/o marring the knurling or taking the fore end off. Would be nice to see a slotted nut with a wrench like the AR system. Link to comment
DesertTortoise
I think you are supposed to do the adjustment with the barrel/foreend removed Link to comment
Ccryder53
You should only need your fingers. Read the manual to get a hint how it should feel when adjusted correctly. Link to comment

Get it close to tight and then remove the barrel, tighten the nut one click and try fit it again. Continue one click at time until the barrel assembly installs snugly but does not require serious force. No tools needed. Link to comment

xtian999
I did that and I can just pull the lever and the barrel twists off. Seems like it should be more secure. Link to comment

Adjust it correctly and it requires a moderate amount of torque to remove. It's not going to fall off just by pulling the release lever. Link to comment
xtian999
I have an old Browning atd that I assume is the model for the pc9 and it locks up tight. The rear sights are on the receiver and the front sights are on the bbl and the accuracy depends on the integrity of the takedown connection. I think tighter is better. Link to comment
