boo radley
I bought a couple of CR Speed Vera Mag Pouches. One of the parts included in the baggie is a slim plastic piece about the side of a jumbo paper match. What on earth this for? The instructions don't reference it. As an aside, does anyone else think ResComp writes some really poor documentation? Gear seems good, however.
AWLAZS
That fits between the holder and the belt to keep it in place.

I don't understand your response. I just got some of these pouches but was a bit too embarrased to ask the question. Thanks, Cuz

Thanks, Cuz <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The small black wedge looking thins get place between the mag holder and the belt to keep the mag holder from twisting on the belt. I slid mine in at the top on the narrow side of the belt.
9MX
Thta fits between the holder and the belt to keep it in place. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> <checking....> Oh. Thanks! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> you may alsot opt to use velcro strips placed behind the the magpouch mount for a more secure fit.
AWLAZS
I used the velcro and some 12 guage wire. my pouches don't move at all even when my rig is off they don't slide around on the outer belt.
boo radley
Another question on these pouches: do y'all keep them above the belt hanger or below? Does it even matter? I figured it was better to swivel them so that the holder would be oriented above the belt, but I noticed the lettering on the hanger was now upside-down, and wondered if that wasn't "right." MoNsTeR
I mount the pivot above the belt, though some others mount them below. Your preference.

Artack
Thanks very much for this thread, as I to was ignorant to the belt holder/shim.
Pro2AInPA
An alternative to the shim is to drill and tap the bottom of the hanger and then use a set screw to keep the hanger secure on the belt.
