Adam B
I am in the process of building a 9mm Major Open gun and was wondering what poundage people were using for thier recoil springs? My gun has a 5 inch slide that has been lightened in the front and the back and has an STI S1 comp.
.40AET
My gun has a 5 inch slide that has been lightened in the front and the back and has an STI S1 comp. Same type of slide, different comp. I'm running a 9# spring. I didn't like the 10# and have not tried anything lighter.
PaulW
7-10 lbs, I'm ruuning an 8lber right now. It's what the gun will run 100% with and what feels best in your hand.

I started with an 11 when the gun was new as anything less would not get it to go into battey. after about 500 rnds, I switched to an 8 (I think) and it has been fine ever since.
