I was wanting to get lighter, much lighter. I guess I will have to look for a CG hand guard. You would think that the CF would insulate from the heat. Not sure why. I have 2 CF handguards, one over the aluminum Taccom sleeve & one over a standard JP SS barrel & neither heats up and we have run them in 50 rounds hoser steel & paper matches in the Texas heat. Now the aluminum sleeve does heat up if you are running it alone, but the foam cover mitigates the heat enough to work. gerritm Link to comment
