  1. No problems like those listed above??
  2. No problems like those indicated above??
  3. This is not what I wanted to hear. Dang it!! Were the welds on the poppers themselves or the bases breaking??
  4. Are the Rangemaster guys using the regular base or the small base??
  5. Our club is looking to replace some of our poppers. We have looked at MGM, Shootsteel.com, Action targets and Challenge targets. The cost is high to get into these and I was hoping another club might have some input on a brand that they loved or hated. Any recommendations or input is greatly appreciated as this will be a large investment for the club. TIA
  6. I've had good luck with HS-6. Pretty clean, readily available, good performance and it doesn't fill the case to the point that it spills out on progressive presses. I get consistent chrono numbers even when traveling to other states for matches.
  7. Gamer to the end!! love it.
  8. This is what I want to hear!! Several different brands involved? Just regular maintainence? What PF do you settle on?
  9. Any experience with 38sc? Think it is easier on stuff? Roughly same powder charge but less pressure hypothetically should be kinder to parts but maybe it is the same.
  10. With these open pistols costing $4-10K, I am curious as to how many rounds people are getting out of them with good a maintenance practices before having to replace major components like barrels, slides etc. Is 9 major any more abusive to the parts then 38sc?
  11. Yeah, but only to figure out function of the camera. I know 1st person is only for the Gram. LOL!!!!
  12. Have only been using mine for a couple practice sessions. I like it so far. Is 16:9 or 9:16 the best or does it only matter what you want to do with that video?
  13. I have sent four 3XLs back this year for buttons and /or cracked glass and got new ones every time.
  14. I have very much enjoyed my Honcho open gun with 9 major barrel. With that said, I did crack a locking block at about 2500 rounds but there is more to the story. At a match, I had a bullet pull out of a case somehow and dumped powder in the gun. I cleaned it up without disassembling at the safety area and proceeded to the next stage. More ammo issues and more powder in the poor gun. Quit for the day and went home to fix my ammo problem. Loaded some new rounds and went to the range without doing a clean and lube (dumb). About 100 rounds in, the block cracked. Called in to PT on a Saturday and was amazed to talk with Tiffany about it. PT had me send the gun in which I did on the following Monday. They got it Wednesday, fixed it with a new block AND made me a spare block at no charge then sent it back. I got it late afternoon on Friday of the same week. I was told lack of lube was the issue, which I believe to be true since the powder spill in the gun had basically soaked all the oil up. I switched from Mobil 1 (seemed too thin and made a mess) to Lucas gun oil and have had zero problems in over 20k 9 major rounds. I think the company took care of me in an above and beyond manner and I can say nothing but good things about PT and my Honcho. I clean and lube mine about every 500 rounds or 1 match and 2 short practice nights. I use no more oil than I would on any other pistol but make sure the lock block to barrel interface and the recoil spring housing to slide get plenty as these areas seem the tightest fit. Otherwise, just follow the oiling video PT has. The Lucas oil stays put very well and doesn't ooze out and make a miss like the Mobil 1 did. I would not hesitate to purchase another Honcho.
  15. I have 2 different sizes of the Shooters connection bags. Both have been flawless and I am very happy with them. I think they are well thought out with the organizing pockets.
  16. That is really nice. Congrats man!!
  17. Going to be really hard to see in a pic. I am refering to the outer edge of the chamber where the rim of the shell would sit. Mine was very sharp and the upper edge of it would grab or skin shells with a soft hull(Walmart Winchester). If yours has a sharp edge, just break it a little so it can't dig into anything.
  18. I struggled with mine when i first got it. It was skinning the shells sometimes as they went into the chamber. I broke the sharp edge of the chamber with some emery cloth and it helped a ton. Might be something you can check out.
  19. My Honcho likes 8.3 gr HS-6 @ 1.165 under a 124gr RMR jacketed HP. 170+ PF
  20. I know that if I do not unlock my DAA holster, I can easily pull my pants and belt combo over my head without the pistol ever coming out of it!! LOL
  21. I think the cutout looks good since the silver color contrasts with the holster. Nice job.
  22. I really like the race holster too. This is good info. Thanks
  23. Perfect!! I was on their website this morning and I figured that might be the one. Thank you.
  24. I have a DAA race holster for shooting USPSA but I am going to shoot some 3 gun as well. What holsters are you 3 gunners using with your Honchos?
