Is anyone having trouble with the barrel assembly coming unlocked while shooting?

look at the instructions.......follow the instructions and tighten it up

My buddy just had that problem. Sent it back to Ruger and had the same problem when they he got it back. Mine runs fine but there is an issue for sure.

A fixed barrel version really would have been better. Probably could have been a bit cheaper as well. Breakdown is nice for cleaning though...

This just happened to a friend of mine, too...  Did the same thing after he got it back from Ruger...  He is going to send it back for a second time...  Interesting that this problem is more widespread than we thought.

So this happened to me also at my first match.
I took it to the safe area, made it two or so clicks tighter and all is right in the world.

There should be some real resistance when you snap the half's together and the difference between right and wrong is only a few clicks

Ran 200-300 rounds through mine and noticed it was getting loose. I tightened the locking ring with the carbine assembled as far as it would go. Then took it apart and tightened the ring 2-3 additional clicks. Now it’s a firm feeling lockup when I put it together. No issues since I’ve done that. I first did 5-6 clicks and it was to tight to assemble so I backed it off.
