andrewst359
Using the Dillon seating die and notice a ring left by the seating die. I'm using 30cal 168gr Sierra Matchkings. Is this normal? How does one get rid of the ring?

jhgtyre
That ring is left by the seating stem contacting the ogive of the projectile. As others have mentioned, or alluded to, you may want to make sure that you are using the correct seating stem, your neck tension isn't too great, and that you aren't compressing your load. The article that dkleskiw linked is actually a pretty good read and it suggests lapping the interior edge of the seating stem. I'd make sure I had the right one before doing that.
