BangSwitch
I want to make sure that I have the right weight springs for my 9mm DVC 3-Gun in my spares inventory. Does any happen to know what recoil spring this gun left the factory with? I want to say that it shipped with a 10# recoil spring, but I'm not sure. jliew08
+1 for a 9lb spring with my handloads. My DVC was a lot of fun to shoot. Maybe shouldn’t have sold it...Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
BangSwitch
Thanks for the replies. I just used my last 9# springs in another gun - need to buy more. I don't load my own ammunition. I have been using Freedom Munitions 147gr round nose. So far, I'm pretty happy with it. A softer spring might work well with that load.
NOSHMJ
It came with an #8 spring
geraldskip
I prefer a 8 pound spring with my 130 PF 115 grain reloads. Works great and super flat. Pretty sure the DVC 3 gun comes with an 8. The 5 inch STI guns come with a 9.
CrossOut
You guys think shock buffers are necessary when dropping spring rates below what comes from factory? Any down side to using them? Are they one of those things that "won't hurt to have on all your guns"?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I found the specs off of the STI website for the 3 gun says 5.4 for the barrel. The guide rod channel on the 3 gun looks a little long with the standard dust cover for a 5in gun.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk The DVC 3 gun is 5.4 inch upper. Little bit more sight radius, and I think that’s why it has a 8 lb from the factory but who knows. The regular 5.0 inch 2011s all have 9 lb springs.
