BamBam
My buddies have nice ergonomic pistol grip stocks on their 3-gun Benelli shotguns. I shoot a Remington 1100. Does anyone know of a source for a quality pistol grip stock for the 1100?
Nik Habicht
BamBam Choate out of Arkansas or SpeedFeed. I personally like the feel of the SpeedFeed a little better, but friends of mine really like the Choate. The SpeedFeed should be available through Brownells, it'll come in long and short variations with or without shellholders. The shellholders will hold two rounds of ammo on each side. Bill H
Hi Bam Bam. I think speedfeed is the way to go. They look nicer in the Brownells catalog anyway. I haven't been impressed with the Choate stocks I have seen. Personally I can't stand to shoot a pistolgrip shotgun. Save your money and get a Beta mag. ;-)
Chriss Grube
Adam, I have the Speed feed on my Duty 870. It handles really well. The only problem with the pistol grip stock is that you have to modify the grip so that the speed loaders will work.
BamBam
The Benelli guys have dremeled-in a slot on the bottom of the pistol grip which not only allows use of the speed loaders, but it also stabilizes the buggers as well! Just wanted to find a stock others have tried that doesn't feel like a cheap piece of plastic crap. Thanks.
icer
Speedfeed quality is better than Choate, and they back up their product......
Scott Adam
********WARNING********** You cannot have BOTH, a pistol grip and mag tube extention on a shotgun UNLESS it is a PRE BAN "94"gun. Sorry
BigDave
hmmm, this looks like the start of the pre-ban magazine on pistol w/ replacement parts discussion...
Scott Adam
Nope. It just means EXACTLY what I said. You cannot have both unless the receiver was manufactured before Sept. Oct. 1994.
Flexmoney
jeez Scott...does that mean we can't discuss it???
