I have the same issue. I'm a big golfer as well and the best advice I was ever given for golf was aim small, miss small. Instead of aiming to hit the fairway I now aim to hit a specific target in the fairway. I applied this to my shooting and it did help a bit but I have a long way to go

 I've always liked the saying:

"When you aim at nothing you are guaranteed to hit it"

I find that as I try to increase my speed I end up pointing at the target rather than actually aiming at it.

The best advice I ever got in golf came from Lee Trevino, who said, "Modern instructors have ruined more new golfers than you can ever imagine. The first move through the ball, during the swing, is not a turn, but a slide."

So my advice would be to slide into the A zone.
