IronArcher
Lim Pro (1 piece sear)BoloXtreme trigger Extended firing pin block After dropping the hammer, I can not engage the safety unless I either pull VERY slightly on the hammer or trigger.Should I care? What is the fix?Never noticed this happening before.https://vimeo.com/201989643
IronArcher
Derp! Apparently it's the extended firing pin block.Kinda thinking there isn't a good reason to mess with it. I can engage it when I need to.But good info for the next noob who puts one in and can't figure out why the safety don't want to engage.LOL!Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
johnbu
Its NOT the firing pin block. The ONLY things involved are the sear and safety lever. Take off the slide and watch the parts move. Video it too. The "under beak" of the leg that interacts with the safety msy need adjusting.
MemphisMechanic
You should be able to engage the safety with the hammer down, at half cock, and fully cocked. Fitting the underside of the leg on the sear *should* be the only variable involved here. Easy test: try to drop the hammer and safe the gun with the slide removed
waktasz
Yes, you should care, because you are going to get DQ'd at the next major match you go to if the chrono guy is paying attention. Did you not fit the sear or safety when you installed the new hammer?
IronArcher
Stock sear, stock hammer.Take the slide off, and the issue is gone.... unless I push down on the sear where the FPB hits.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
johnbu
Put the factory fpb in. You didn't need to get the xtreme version as the lim pro comes with 1 piece already. Did you do anything with the sear cage ot sear spring? The fpb spring is weak and "shouldn't " be able to overpower the sear spring. Sniperboy
Did you recently put in the extended FPB? In my experience you do not need the extended FPB if you are running a stock hammer.
IronArcher
Yes, recently put in the extended FPB as after installing the BOLO, the stock FPB no longer worked. Also, currently running the PDO sear spring.

johnbu
I wonder about the sear spring being installed improperly. Would you be so kind as to post a photo of the sear cage (pretty up close). Thanks
MemphisMechanic
After watching your Vimeo video, I'm intrigued... If you take the FPB out of the slide and reassemble the gun, can you safe it with the hammer down? That's the only test left that I can think of to make certain it can't possibly be anything else. IronArcher
So.... appears to be the XFPB.Not worried as you don't "need" to use it for DA first shot, and it works perfectly in SA mode, and IF I want it in DA, just a slight bit of pressure on the hammer lets it drop.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
