Aircooled6racer
Hello: I would not buy another mag release until you fasten the grip to the frame. The frame may push the mag towards the center. Thanks, Eric
Edge40
Anybody have a pic of the final job on the release?
RaylanGivens
I'm having trouble visualizing this... So, it's the circular raised diameter on the thumb side of the mag release that you need to trim back a few thousandths or so... All around the mag release... The small diameter increase is what stops the mag release on the thumb side. You need to file all around the round mag release shaft to allow it to push through the grip further so the catch will extend further into the magazine? File the raised part of the shaft down to the smaller diameter of the shaftdownto that sticks through the grip. This sounds like a difficult job to do well. Seems like turning it down in a lathe would be the way to go... Unfortunately I don't have a lathe, but I do have files... Is this correct?
