rack&roll
Can I use my magna-ported OEM CORE slide with RMR and non-ported KKM barrel on my 9L frame in CO division? Thanks!
Sarge
After-market slides and barrels provided they are the same length, con- tour and caliber as original factory standard. SLIDES: Current rules remain in effect You may replace the slide with an OFM or aftermarket slide which is of the same length, contour and caliber as the original slide for that model of gun. BARRELS: Current rules remain in effect - you may replace the barrel with an OFM or aftermarket barrel which is of the same length, contour and caliber as the original barrel for that model of gun. Milling of slide only as required to insert optical sights Cuts that are designed to specifically or significantly lighten the slide, such as holes, are ruled as competitive advantage and prohibited. Iowashooter
I would say no. If it was a performance center ported CORE from the factory it would be good to go. But the aftermarket porting I believe is a no go. Sent from my SM-G920V using Tapatalk
rack&roll
There are only 4 small ports, as opposed to like 8 on the PC ported CORE. I don't see the competitive advantage? I do appreciate the feedback, though.

The idea is to not have an equipment race in PRoduction/CO
RJH
A little JB weld and a sharpie will take care of those ports

I do appreciate the feedback, though. I dont see a competitive advantage either. Having said that, at a local match you may have success arguing your point. If it was one of our matches I personally would have zero issues with it and Allow it. At a bigger match you might get someone who sees it differantly. Best to ask someone in charge ot the venue(s) you plan to use it.

I believe his did not come from the factory with porting and slide cuts, thats the issue. He stated his particular gun has 4 cuts as opposed to the 8 that the PC 9L has in the slide. Totally not any competitive advantage with a non-ported barrel, but some may not allow it due to how the rules are spelled out.
rack&roll
Thank you! Yes, that is the "fly in the ointment" so to speak.
