FinishGuy
I have a STI Eagle in 9mm that I bought a few years ago. I recently purchased a DVC Limited in 40 to compete in USPSA Limited division so I am not using this gun. I would like to start shooting in open division and am considering turning the Eagle into a 9 mm major open gun. Does anyone out there have some experience or advice? Aircooled6racer
Hello: Buy a Tru Bor in 9mm and be done. Sell the 9mm Eagle if you need the funds for the open pistol. If not keep it for IDPA or 3-gun. Thanks, Eric

LilBunniFuFu
Second on just buying a Trubor. But in all reality, if you are dead set on turning the eagle over to an open gun. just buy a trubor barrel and have a gunsmith fit it to your slide. Buy a serendipity and have your frame drilled and tapped. Throw on a 9 lb spring and you're done.
Glock26Toter
Yeah, I agree with those guys. You could wind up with some part of the conversion that doesn't work exactly correct and have a lemon on your hands. Without actually doing the math, I think you could sell - purchase for the same dollar amount invested in conversion.
