Honkeymcgee
I should be picking up a CZ Czechmate this week and have some questions about open loads. I plan to run major loads when using the comp and red dot and am curious what bullet weight would be best. I will most likely run either Zeros or MG. I see pretty much everyone uses either 115 or 124 for major. My question is will there be any big benefit to using one over the other. My other question is powder, as with the bullets I see most people run AutoComp, HS-6, or CFE pistol. I have access to all of these and would like to know the same, is there any reason to use one vs the other.
CZ85Combat
I use Auto-Comp and N350. You will need to ream your barrel 0.050. I've used MG, PD and Zero, I only use Blue bullets now 125RN 6.8gm Auto-Comp @ 1.155 172PF, 125RN 7.0 N350 @ 1.150 170PF. The Blue Bullets are so much less $$$ $242.00 @3600 = $0.067 ea. pm me for a 5% off code, will make it $0.063 ea. http://www.thebluebullets.com/product-p/1mfr-125-9.htm You will need Grams followers & springs, he can also tune your big stick. http://gramsengineering.com/contact.php CZC base pads. http://czcustom.com/cz-parts-all/base-pads-extensions/cz-ts-extended-base-pad-black.html?___SID=U Big stick base pad http://czcustom.com/cz-parts-all/base-pads-extensions/cz-ts-extended-base-pad-silver-170mm.html
Honkeymcgee
I currently use blue bullets for my down loaded ammo. I recall someone saying that the coating didn't work well with hotter major loads. If that is not the case I may just continue to use them. What is the reasoning for reaming the barrel? CZ85Combat
I have 7000 Blue Bullets down the pipe of my Czechmate. No lead in the barrel or comp. The BBi & Bayou bullets leaded up my comp.
kneelingatlas
Of what you listed I choose 115gr MG over HS6, 3N38 is a better powder for the CM, but costs twice a

tomfturner
Ditto on my Czechmate I have used a lot of blue bullets. I used 6.7 gr of AutoComp, but the current load mine is liking is HS6 7.9 to 8.1 grain at 1.15".

tomfturner
Because CZ has a really tight chamber. It will not feed ammo that is loaded to "within spec", so having the chamber reemed will help resolve any issues associated with that. Honkeymcgee
Well I have had it for a bit now and am currently running extreme 124hps at 1.145 if I recall correctly off the top of my head. 6.9gr of auto comp puts me at 171 PF. I did have to modify the feed ramp to run the extremes at the longer length when my big mags were fully loaded because of the bullet profile.
