kk4364
Ok so I just got done building my 1st 2011 sti. Ises good parts and gun seems to run great. Recently I did a trade and got some base pads and mags. 2 of the base pads are not normal. On the outside they seem like normal +1 base pads. But on 2 of them the magazine doesn't seat all the way, actually it seats avout half way. Can anyone help me figure out what they are used for? They came installed on 170mm mags. If they go on 140mm mags they won't be limited legal. Thanks in advance. OPENB
Dawson used to make +2 bases, I think that is what you have. They are kinda sought after for guy with the older short tubes before they were standardized to work with +1 bases.

kk4364
So an update, I was able to track down 2 older sti tubes I think they were 135mm. I'm waiting on internals to check capacity.
