TJART
Had success running Xtreme 147RN plated with 3.3 & 3.4 TiteGroup at 1.14-1.15 (various head stamps). Ordered some 147RN Blue Bullets; does this look like a good starting point with SP01 11# recoil: 147RN 3.0 TG 1.14X CCI SPP 147RN 3.3 W231 1.14X CCI SPP Also, I ordered Sample pack of SNS 160's, as well. Looking at this for load: 160RN 2.6 TG 1.15X CCI SPP 160RN 2.8 & 2.9 W231 1.15X CCI SPP Edited January 5, 2016 by TJART
peterthefish
Looks good to me for a starting point based on my experience with these bullets and powders. You will need to chrono, the 160s especially.
Kletus
If I remember correctly, I was getting right at 130 pf from 147 bayou's and 3.1 gr. TG. The other Blue Bullets I've tried have all surprised me by being faster than I expected. If you are going for minimum pf then you might start at 3.0, but have a few 2.9's on hand in case you want to go lower. All the above info is from memory.... So take it for what it is worth. pbcaster45
Looks good. Here's what I use in my 17L Bullet: 147 gr. Blue Bullet RN (.357) Powder: Alliant Bullseye 3.25 grs. Primer: Winchester Small Pistol Case: Federal LOAL: 1.145 ISMI 13 lb. recoil spring and Jager Polymer Guide Rod I'll have to try 231 and Titegroup next. dave33
I get an average 844 FPS/135 PF with 2.7gr titegroup under the 160gr SNS but the accuracy is not real good. Very soft though if you just want some hoser ammo. This is out of an XDM 5.25. 3.1 Titegroup under about any coated 147gr pill gets me about the same PF, but with much better accuracy. Do you have a picture of a loaded round? Here is what my BB 147's with 3.0 TG and 3.2 W231 looked like; (btw, these were the first rounds before I adjusted for a bigger bell) Next to Xtreme 147 Edited January 9, 2016 by TJART
mwc
Here you go. I think is going to be my go to load this year. Shoots soft and is accurate.

pbcaster45
Shmella,Pretty sure they said .355 on the box but measured .357 with my caliper. I've come to prefer 3.2 grs. Titegroup over Bullseye after trying it. They shoot great and no leading... Edited March 14, 2016 by pbcaster45
Shmella
I measured a 124 gr 9mm Blue Bullet last night and was .355. I didnt measure the 147 9mm when i had it. Just ordered the 38/357 147 gr sample pack. We will see..
rev1911
I got a sample back of blue bullet 147 FP recently, and they measure .355. I'm shooting them side by side with a sample pack of Acme 147 which measure .356, and I'm not a good enough shot to tell a difference.
Shmella
Out of my 929 the .355 shot very poor groups compared to a couple different test batches of some .357 I had. I like blue bullets because they're cheap and shot good out of everything else I tried. I'm gonna try the .358 and see how they shoot out of the 929. Wheeljack
I buy the .358 BB and resize them according to the bore of the gun. I resize the .358's just to smooth the coating. My last batch had a number of .355's mixed in. Then again the 147gr bullets weigh about 150gr, which is fine for me, as long as I know it. Does anyone know if the FP will load longer than the RN? pbcaster45
Well, I checked a few last night and they all measure .357. No complaints, they shoot great! (I use Federal cases because they have less internal case taper) Edited March 15, 2016 by pbcaster45
Kletus
I was finally able to do some Chrono testing today on 147 Gr Blue Bullet Flat points. My PPQ seems to have a tight throat, so was only able to load to 1.125" OAL. All Tests are 10 shots at approximately 75 degrees. PF is based off of 147 gr.. the bullets actually weigh more like 148. 2.6 TG: 809 FPS AVG (119 PF), Extreme Spread: 23, SD: 8 High PF of 120 Low PF of 117 2.7 TG: 838 AVg (123 PF), ES: 16, SD: 6, High PF of 125, Low of 122 2.8 TG: 864 AVG (127), ES: 27, SD: 8, High PF of 129, Low of 125. 3.0 N320: 858 AVG (126), ES: 41, SD: 10, High Pf of 130, Low of 123 3.1 N320: 878 AVG (129), ES:22, SD: 7, High PF of 131, Low PF of 127 This was a noticeably more accurate load than 3.0. It's probably going to be my starting point for the 147 Blue Bullet. 3.2 N320: 888 AVG (131), ES 20, SD: 7, High PF 132, Low PF 129 Shot well, but 3.1 was better at least on this test. Again... this is the data I got with my gun and my chrono.... based on my scales...... YMMV..... Edited March 16, 2016 by Kletus
rev1911
What is the barrel length on your PPQ? I got very similar numbers out of my CZ P09 (4.75"): Blue bullet 147 FP @ 1.125 N320 3.2gr Shots: 10 Max : 900 Min : 885 ES : 15 Avg : 893 SD : 4 I also tried N320 3.3gr, and I think I liked it best: Shots: 10 Max : 915 Min : 899 ES : 16 Avg : 907 SD :

I got a batch that averages 150 in weight too... Nathan said they should avg 149 but I have yet to come across a bullet weighing less than 150.... Hopefully he keeps them at 150 cause it shoots soft Edited March 16, 2016 by 1sickPuppy

May have to try the 3.3 of N320. I think Titegroup may be slightly more accurate, but the N320 meters like a dream and doesn't make a mess of the press. TG also is definitely more smoke indoors. I did notice with both the TG and the N320 that the accuracy started to dial in around the 130 PF mark. Haven't had a chance to run them up any further though. Shmella
The .355 was ordered as a 124gr 9mm and the .358 was ordered as a 147gr 38/.
Shmella
I also noticed the difference in weight as well. A 115 weighs 118gr a 124 weighs 125+gr and the 147 weigh 150gr
