MilkMyDuds
I use Talon grip tape, sand paper one. I notice after a while there are a lot of dead skin, dirt and grit trapped in some areas on the tape. The traction starts to feel go down with more and more grit in there. What is the best way to remove those? Thanks.

MilkMyDuds
Worked great! It's like brand new now. Thanks everyone.
ipscjoe
They make a giant eraser for belt sanders to extend the life of the belt. You can get them at harbor freight. Just rub the grip tape with it and it will remove the crud and save the grit.
JWil
Thanks for the tips. Joe something like this? http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss_1?url=search-alias%3Dtools&field-keywords=abrasive+cleaning+stick
Yeti
What Joe suggests (pictured) works great. Yup, that's it. A stiff bristle nylon cleaning brush works okay in a pinch, too. Just go easy. Lose the debris, not the grit.
bradsteimel
Or, for just a few dollars you can go to Ace Hardware and buy a long strip of step tape. Be careful taking off your existing Talon grip tape... put it on the new strip of step tape.. Use that as a pattern to cut a brand-new one.
