Practiscore Android 1.3.7

I saw this on Facebook - I didn't know it was coming so I haven't done any testing with it yet.

Practiscore Android (1.3.7) is released and available for download here. It is also posted to Google Play and Amazon app stores and will be available there once approved. Here is the change log for this release:

* Fixed issue with syncing scores

* Editing divisions

* Select all class/division/squad in the shooter list

* Only show tabs for the locked stages

* Slow sync without Internet connection

* Better error reporting when updating app on Nook

* TimePlus/TimePlusPoints fixed restoring new match configuration from history

* IDPA keypad Next button to move cursor to the next field

* USPSA safeguard for incorrect data in classification update file

* IPSC set default region when exporting to WinMSS

* Steel Challenge increased max strings to 9 (0000509)

I tried the "Update App" function on the bottom of the Sync page on the NST and it worked just fine! Nice addition!

Is this bug number 0000508? Where it takes multiple syncs to complete the scoring transfer? New Scores... Then Modified Scores?

I'm going to guess no seeing how the last entry has a bug number referenced. Euxx will have to stage for certain though.

Somehow missed that report but similar or same issue was reported trough other channels. Should be fixed in 1.3.7. If not, please comment on that bug report.

Please note, that few people reported a problem with syncing in 1.3.7. The issue is only happening when device you are syncing to doesn't have any score entries. As a work around you can create a dummy score and carry on.

The bug fix 1.3.8 release of Android app been posted to the web site and to the app stores. Please update as soon as you can.

Ack... Just updated our tablets to 1.3.7... I'll upgrade to 1.3.8 before tonight's match...

I tried this on my Nook's but it wouldn't allow it. It pops up an error message stating something like non-market place updates are not allowed. I have a feeling it has to do with the rooting image I used for these Nooks because I couldn't find anything in the Rooted OS to change the security settings.

CHA-LEE, do you have Google Market installed on those Nooks? That setting is in the Android OS itself, so not something I could control from the app.

You could try this http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1400615 though not sure if that would work with NST.

Do you guys have a notification email list to which I can subscribe? I'd like to sign up our tablet guy to let him know when to update with a new release.

Phong, you can subscribe to a blog (i.e. RSS) at https://practiscore.com/blog/ which is also copied to Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/PractiScore-158776614189896/ (at least for Android app).

PS: if you want emails for those, you can use free services like IFTTT [1] or Zapier [2] to hook to above news feeds and can even hook up a smart light bulb to go on when new release is posted. Bot web sites have tons of recipes for connecting various things together...

Upgraded to 1.3.8 and scored a Friday night USPSA match and a Saturday Steel Challenge match... 1.3.8 worked perfectly... the modified scores bug (0000508) is indeed fixed...
