IHAVEGAS Posted August 27, 2015 Share Posted August 27, 2015 Just bought 10,000 sns 147's (price break at 10,000 & a little bit off for face to face delivery at the Indiana 400 USPSA match in September). To be used in an sp01 and an ls. Struggled with 125 vs 147 for a while like the o.p. . Decided that this was right "They both shoot. Asking which is better is a ford versus Chevy debate." and it seems like the 147's are a little bit better at knocking down steel, also I prefer the recoil impulse of a heavier bullet (would load either to maybe 128 - 132 pf). My conclusions about steels and more manageable recoil are from perception only and might be wrong, but for what it is worth this is the way another person in the same boat headed. Then again, 125's would have been a smidge cheaper and I like the charge weight ramifications of a lighter bullet , and if kneelingatlas uses them that is high praise.
