  1. As a rule, I replace every spring typically at the beginning of the year. Doing this, I haven’t had any problems in the 7 years I've shot CZ’s Functionally speaking, you’re looking at less than $50 to replace them. Basically a couple match fees or so.
  2. Honestly, save the money. The solution for your existing followers is super simple. Smoothing out the followers with sandpaper (I used a fingernail file emery board) will fix that issue completely. The challenge is, the problem isn't consistent. Some tubes don't have a problem. Others do. For example my nickel mags didn't like the followers until someone recommended filing them down a bit. Then they were flawless. My black mags worked just fine no matter the follower. If you want to spend the money, go for it. But I just don't see the value return with the MBX mags over the OEM's.
  3. You should be able to get that 23rd round in. It’s really tough on the initial. But once the springs take a set it gets easier. Are you using a mag loader at all?
  4. Can you (not) get 24 in the TTI as of yet?
  5. Impact machine did mine and I’m going to have them do another. Its pretty legit
  6. Here is my question Will the board of directors act? If not, what can members do to force them to act? For all the conversation here, are people writing the board members? All of them? What about talking to the members at our clubs? The board watches these forums. They know most members will be mad for a week and then move on to something else. However, if we all make our feelings known. They have to act. When they pushed that fee increase, enough members actually held them accountable they were forced to act. This is still OUR sport. We as local clubs effectively are the power of the purse. If we stop sending the organization money through membership and activity fees, they can no longer function. We have to act. It’s one thing to talk on the Internet forums. It’s another to talk to the members in your club. Tell them the problems and concerns. With enough support, we can make the changes necessary to fix our sport.
  7. There is no doubt Troy needs to be given the opportunity to defend himself, and if found to be in violation, appropriate punishment including removal as DNROI needs to take place. In addition, we as an organization need to take a hard look at how we have allowed one position to have such a high degree of unchecked power in the organization. The power of DNROI needs to be checked. Should we apply term limits? Should DNROI become a rotating position among the RMI’s? We need to take a hard look and determine the best way forward so member perception of DNROI is restored as a neutral and fair judge of our rules and policies.
  8. Let's put this into context for a second... Foley started a fight with the Ben's. Blamed it on being tired. The board allowed it. Foley kicked out Flowers. Blamed Stoeger. The board allowed it. Foley tried to pick a fight with Trevor Cotter. The board finally removed him. YeeMin Lin joked around with his friends. Troy McManus removed YML and the board allowed it. Troy McManus and Jake Martens went after Zach Smith. The board allowed it. Troy McManus threatened Tim Dunderi for what other people did. The board allowed it. Troy McManus swore, threatened, and abused a competitor and volunteer. The board is going to allow it. Why is it the only person the board went after on the first go was YML? The board spoke about having a harassment policy. Does that only apply to employees they don't like? Why has the board gone to such lengths to protect the repeated actions of it's employees? At this point, our stages have more standards than the USPSA board of directors.
  9. I have owned every single plate system for the shadow2 and the one that cncpros makes has been the only one that hasn’t had issues. regardless, find a steel one. Aluminum won’t work.
  10. How did you install the front sight? It seems like it was improperly fit in. All things being equal, I would just replace that front sight with a new one. Are you using brand new roll pins each time?
  11. By three Henning basepads for your mecgar mags. Then buy three rune tactical spring and follower sets. install. Shoot. They all work pretty much flawless for most of us on here that will get you to 24+1
  12. There are probably multiple theories as to why the chrome lined magazines tend to stick more, but the end result is you simply need to take a file (think emory board fingernail file) and smooth out the front and back of the follower until they move freely. I had this exact problem with the same setup until a friend recommended the solution and it's been flawless ever since.
  13. What distance you zero the gun is somewhat subjective. Personally I like 12 yards because that's pretty much where most of our targets are placed at. However, what is really important is taking that zero and shooting at 3,5,7,9,10,12,15,18,20,25 yards. And then KNOWING where your bullets are hitting. You'll find they are all pretty close to each other at those distances. But the confidence of knowing where a bullet hits at those distances really makes shooting so much easier. That's just my opinion. You do you and all that.
  14. I've noticed the Rami seems to wear out pretty quickly. Do you just keep that on a maintenance schedule?
  15. Yeah I get you. I have built up a process to break in all my mag springs for that reason. But it's still funny how they just work their way in.
  16. Oh cool. Yeah that is worth it then. I didn’t know the part number. you need the grips that fit your hand first and foremost. That means more than any weight. You can control the gun with good grip much more. The brass just gives you an extra advantage.
  17. Henning is what I have been using. I'm not sure of TF's basepad. Of all the basepads I own, TF isn't one of them surprisingly.
  18. This. I've been running them all year and can reload a 24 round magazine same as one that has been downloaded.
  19. The Brass grips shift the balance to the back from the heavy front. But overly so. Then, you need a heavier front to rebalance it. So, a tungsten guide rod. It's a never ending project haha Generally speaking you can get springs for a lot less than $100. I'm not sure of the Eeman kit though. What comes in it?
  20. Henning and the Rune Tactical spring follower combo is what I've been using since late last year. It's been super solid. I can actually reload a 24 round into my S2 pretty easy now. I'm seriously impressed with that follower.
  21. Honestly, I don't see a reason to. The Rune Tactical follower was first to the market and is $2 cheaper. It seems like MBX just copied the idea and charged more for the same thing.
  22. Henning's have gone through design updates over the years probably to address this issue among others. The one I had a failure with was going on four years old so it cracking while annoying wasn't unexpected. The others I have from Henning have been rock solid. I'm not saying TTI is bad. I don't want that misunderstood. I have basepads from all of these companies and they've all been wonderful. When I have problems, the companies are great to work with.
  23. This is a failure point on most extensions. That lip holds the entirety of the pressure from a fully loaded magazine. Eventually they're all going to fatigue. TTI, Henning, all are going to experience this at some point. The fact that TTI is happy to replace them speaks to them standing behind their product. (I have a Henning that had the same issue FWIW) It's not ideal but I've seen it enough I know to look for it in my scheduled maintenance.
