rustybayonet
Here is my question. I looked thru dillon dies and do not see 9x18 makarov in the dies. Would this be a readjusted 9mm luger set of dies?
moonman16
MidwayUSA lists Makarov 9 x 18 Carbide dies from LEE, RCBS, AND REDDING. 9 MM Makarov has a bullet diameter about .010 LARGER than 9 MM Luger. They are 2 different calibers. Edited August 26, 2015 by moonman16

Bkreutz
I've accidentally loaded Makarovs on my 650, figured it out on the case gauge.
moonman16
Makarov is actually like 9,2 MM x 18 MM (.365 Dia).
dvc4you
Lee dies, berry bullets and 3.0gr of Titegroup. Separating, 9mm brass from 9 Makarov....priceless
bfalcon00
Yeah 9 Mak is a constant irritation when I am sorting range brass. Doesn't matter what I do, one seems to slip through every time.
dillon
We do offer a specific conversion kit for 9x18 Makarov. The main difference is the 9X18 uses a different powder funnel, due to the larger bullet diameter (.365" for 9x18 Mak, vs .355" for 9 x19 )
rustybayonet
So I would get the dillon convertion kit and add someone elses dies?
dvc4you
Correct, Dillon does not produce 9x18 dies.
