Winchester Model 140 for 3 Gun?

Recommended Posts

Looking to give 3 gun a try. Have the opportunity to acquire a Win M140 in trade as cash goes towards ammo and my L10 Glock.

Is anyone familiar enough with this model to comment on its viability for 3 gun?

BTW I did find it that is basically a M1400 with plain furniture if that helps.

Thanks...

If you are just looking for a cheap, reliable shotgun that is three gun worthy, find a used Benelli Nova in a pawn shop somewhere and put an extension tube on it. They are very popular with waterfowl hunters so they occasionally show up used at gun shops/pawn shops, work really good and you will be using a pump, how cool is that?

Seriously, they are a lot of gun for the money, even when purchased new.

Or a Stoeger M3000. Either is a worthy competitor for the reasonably priced 3gun shotgun prize. Lots of aftermarket support for both as well.

A little more info on my soon to be acquired M1 Super 90. All the goodies are being included for an addition $100. Tube extension, lifter bolt handle, match savers shell holder, and the welded lifter plus a new firing pin. Found too that it was built/tuned by Benny Hill at Triangle.

Not bad for $650

Will post photos/video once I have a chance to put it through it's paces.
