echotango
I run a 7# as a 6 can sometimes not strip the bullet from a fresh mag.
Ocrrhbow
I think this is a great idea. Not everyone wants, can afford, or has the ability to be competitive at the national level and for steel challenge minor, or even sub-minor is the way to go. Competitive shooting is, well, a sport so everyone would like to win or do well but what keeps people coming back is the fun aspect of it more than winning. I think a budget gun to play in USPSA open and steel challenge is great.

bradsteimel
My .02 is switch to open, it's great fun. Even with (sub)minor you can shoot steel challenge and local USPSA matches. You might even find some local who'll make you some slightly hotter loads... Then you might be able to switch to a heavier spring and make major, assuming your bbl and gun are receptive. Just work the loads up very gradually. Regardless shoot a gun that's the most enjoyable FOR YOU Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
