Tochnost
Just as like the title says. For those of you who have done a sc grip, what size grit do you like. Is jb weld the preferred adhesive? Thanks
BoyGlock
I tried no. 60 but it hurts my hand when I dryfire a lot. I went 80, felt better but still abrade my palm a bit when new. I have soft thin skin in my palm. Depends a lot on your practice routine and palm texture. Most use 60.
leath4m
JB weld is the go mate, and I got 30/40 grit from the States.
echotango
JB doesn't become brittle?
leath4m
No mate. My STI bottom end is 12 months old now, no signs of chipping or anything. I did my mag well too. And some has come off it. Because it was a painted shiny surface I reckon.

leath4m
No I didn't reduce the grip, I just preped the grip with metho then taped off my diamonds and STI logo with builders tape. Then trowled the JB weld in with one side of an art knife.

leath4m
Sorry, like a rubbing alcohol for you guys I suppose. Just something to clean the oil and grime off the grip. But not so savage on the plastic.
