ppierceall
I have an XS big dot front sight that I can pick up real well on targets. My question is why do so many who compete prefer fiber optic front sights?
Polymer
Easy to pick up, good for both far precision and quick shots. I had big dots on my carry guns way back when. I use fiber optic front with various all black rears now on all pistols.
JAF1680
You can get a much narrower front sight that you can pic up just as fast because of how bright it will be.
Ferg34
My preference is a .100 fo front with a .125 blacked out rear. Mine are Dawson precision but there are many good manufacturers. I think that setup allows for a great mix of speed and accuracy. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Steve RA
.100 black front with black, adjustable rear sight.
Nimitz
you want as much light as you can between the front & rear sights which make it easy to determine that you have an appropriate sight picture to execute the shot. My Shadow has a .090" green FO front sight and a custom fixed rear sight widened to .35"
