Dalmas Posted March 1, 2005 Share Posted March 1, 2005 I'm pretty proud of what we've done so I'll post in any and all forums I'm active. What is a Swedish Classic? To gain the diploma you have to in a 12 month period finish the folowing four events. You may start the circle where you want but then to order is set. 90 Km Cross-country ski (http://www.vasaloppet.se) 300 km Cycling - (http://www.vaetternrundan.se ) 3 km Swimming - (http://www.vansbrosimningen.com) 30 km Cross-country running (http://www.lidingoloppet.se) I had planned to re-start on my training for the WS today but I can't draw the gun in under 5 seconds after 10 hours of cross-country skiing. Why do this? if I had learned to shut up it would never have happened. I happened to tell my danish girlfriend that I could do it.. She thought it was a great idea and enrolled us .. She also completed hers on Sunday. I must say I'm proud of what we've done. Congratulations Mats to You and Your "significant other"!! (I met Mats and his girlfriend at the Swedish IPSC Nationals -04) and she's of a quite different statue than our Mr Dalmas, who's quite tall and muscular, so the achivement on her behalf is GREAT! Absolutely great. Cross-country skiing is nothing to laugh about when the distance is 90 km, bicycling 300 km on public roads around a great lake in the south swedish "high land" with altitude variations of staggering proportions and then to top it all off, 3 km swimming in streaming water in a wet suit to protect you from the chilly water, man, that's an amazing achivement! No telling what she will get you into next time! She is now well aware of that in the future she might bike, run, swim, ski as much as she wants, I'll be on the range! I can see a demand for pictures, I guess the women of this part of the world have a certain rep to live up to.. Well I'll post a pic during the weekend and u can be the judges..
