A2 area hotels

So I will be going to A2 this year. Never been to Phoenix area. Seems like the closet place to stay is Mesa. Looking at the options there seems to be some nice places and some roach hotels.

So when you guys do A2 where do you stay?

Use Priceline to find the closest hotels/motels closest to the event and then chose 3-4 stars and then name your price. Has never failed for me.

The range is in north east Mesa. Mesa would be your best bet for lodging. Anything north of the 60 and east of the 101 is ideal. If you want the nicest hotels look to Scottsdale. It's north of Mesa but not too far.

10 years or so at the Sleep Inn. Walking distance to Cheese Cake Factory. Next door to a hamburger joint. Obviously gun friendly.

+1 on Sleep Inn (now Quality Inn). Not the nicest place but it's in a decent area and can't be beat for price just to have a place to crash at nite. Prices are high for March but Quality will be about the cheapest for that area unless you want the Super 8 ghetto area.
