WCRHC October 26th match: The Rogue 40s

Recommended Posts

Dennis,

The concept Two day, 18 stage 500 round count Fund Racer Match is coming along very nicely.....(mark your calenders....July 4th weekend....but you didn't hear that from me....) Still not approved yet by the board as full proposal has not been given to them yet.

However....Limited, Limited 10, Production, Open and Single Stack only for recognition...not enough revo shooters with only 100 total.

The way I thinking of this is 10 gun certificates given away by random shooter #, a gun certificate for just the RO's and a couple more via match day raffles......better than a one in ten chance to go home with one. Prizes and awards for the top 3 in each division and typically 1st place in each class depending on the division participation........

Yes, I realize it is the 4th of July weekend but for many shooters there isn't anything to shoot that weekend. Now there is. We have to work with the club dates that are available and other major match's in the area as well. Stay tuned for further details...............

Some of the best things in life are done out of spite......angry or makeup sex story's anyone? You get the idea...

Just don't shoot this match angry.....or if you do, just keep it to yourself.

To my Pinoy's to the North......yeah, prepare to celebrate American Style on the 4th of July weekend.....good food, good friends and blowing stuff up.....ok, maybe not blowing stuff up but doing a lot of shooting. Have to be a bit careful. We don't need the folks from BATFE stopping in thinking we are doing crazy. Then G-Man Bart and a couple of his office mates that shoot with us would have to get involved. That would not be good.

I am even working on a lunch proposal from a local Police Explorers club. What do you guys think? New York Strip steaks, baked potatoes, corn on the cob, cold drinks? No lobster so don't even ask.

Oh, yeah.....a stage will be sponsored by the only gentlemens club that is a high end gentlemans club that also has a casino in it. Only 1 in North America. On Saturday night I am betting I can have them give me passes to get you all in for free. 10 minutes from the range. It has a dress code and 5 star food (seriously, the chef is incredible....just go for the food alone). It is also 20,000+ sq. feet on two levels and big enough to drop a 1966 Chevy Corvette onto the stage when they want to. There are some great stories that have come out of that place involving shooters. I am sworn to secrecy on most but the funniest I can share is a certain match director from Kentuck (not corey...) who got...overserved a bit one night. When we droped him off that night at the hotel, he didn't even go into his room. He climbed into the covered tail gate of the pickup truck that was going to the range the next morning. Did I mention that he was overserved a bit? Turned out it wasn't the truck he thought it was and he had to have the person return him to the hotel after he woke up and realized his mistake by pounding on the cab divider......after the truck owner took off down the freeway with said match director passed out in the back.

Need everyone to cross thier fingers for our board approval. Will go to them soon.......

Well........nod your head and pretend you didn't hear this as we will have to get board approval first............

The 1st Annual Fund Racer match......100 competitors..........2 days.........18 stages......500 rounds......prizes/plaques......raffles.....for a cost of $125-150.....Thinking the end of June..............

$$ goes to our berm renewal project.........

What do you think? Level III stages run under a Level I format to make things easier.

Does this mean stages that would be approved by USPSA for a major match? I was going to shoot the 10/26 match until I heard it was a USPSA-like theme match.
