Billmanweh
what should I look for to find something cheap and that won't kill my shoulder?
AH6IP
Remington Gun Club 3 Dr 1 1/8oz 7.5 or 8's. $3.05 a box. Very clean and easy to shoot. Similar to their STS match loads.
Mickster
Wal-Mart/Winchester 1oz Super Speed is $2.98 a box. Works great in Benelli M1S90. Great for practice. Quality control on these isn't 100% so don't use in any match where it matters. 7/8th oz Super Speed doesn't work in stock M1S90.
Billmanweh
ok, I'll keep an eye out for one of those two. is $3.00-$3.25 considered cheap for 12ga shells?

glockster96
I usually get the 100 round value packs from wally world in either Winchester or Federal. They seem to work well and are pretty cheap (100 for around $15).
George
I’m sure a little better pricing can be found, but I get RIO 7.5 3dram 1.125oz at $35 per case of 250 locally (northern California) and it shoots real well for me. Sometime I can find Fiochhi 7.5 at that price too, but it’s usually $39-$40 a case. -- Regards,
Carlos
From the replies, you are looking for shot. If you also want bargain slugs, then try German Sheonbeck slugs marketed in the USA by Wolf (and at the typical low Wolf price). PMC makes low recoil buck shot that was on sale at Natchez recently for $1.50.

Billmanweh
I mainly want some inexpensive bird shot just to put rounds through it and familiarize myself with a shotgun in general
SGDM
The Rem Gun Club is cheap and reliable. AH turned me on to this ammo and I have run it in my 1100 Comp Master and 11-87. I found the other stuff not as reliable.
