  1. Handguards shipped yesterday, Priority Mail. Thanks Wade!

  2. Trapr, You bet buddy, they are critical. As a MD and shooter you must insure scores are correct. You and I have both seen some pretty ugly situations. I know at my matches at least 2 look at the scoring. Linda is a god send! The scoring will make ya or break ya.
  3. This was not a "Tactical" match nor was it my intent. The only thing Tactical was the match sponsor. My intent was to provide a challenging course of fire, make you think, and have fun.
  4. No aftermath or fallout! Just me and the Rangemaster, Rick Porter, a long time friend having a discussion between 2 x type A's.
  5. Thanks Buddy! That is the kind of feed back that I am looking for and will make it better.
  6. I also want to thank Paul Cerami for all of his hard work and dedication, he is responsible for the prize table. Paul volunteered last year to handle the Sponsorship for the match and he had something come up at the last minute and could not attend. Paul is an LEO in the DFW Metro and TTPOA board member and did a great job getting Sponsors for the match. Thanks Paul!
  7. Our Squad did not get to shoot on Sunday , and I was to worn down to even go and look it over. But I was told= The max time was 180 seconds and 80% of the shooters could not manage to make it to the end. I don't mind a long stage just the max time would have had to change to 240 like at Blue Ridge before most of the squads had shot it. I did learn some new tricks that will help me Stage 7 had nothing to do with the Par Time or the fact that shooters were maxing out. I walked that stage and shot it in 138 seconds, we reset, and ready for next shooter in under 5 minutes and that is the standard and we all agreed that it would go. I knew it would be a tough course and that was my intent. After de-briefing the RO's on Sat and being 3 Squads behind and I watched it very close on Sun morning. I met with Rick Porter and Linda for their input and I made the decision. Greg
  8. Well...we got 'er dun! The range is clear and pray that everyone made it home safe. Thanks to Steve for his hard work and allowing us to have the match on his facility. Fred Q, you are the Man, thanks Sir. Linda Chico...nuff said. RO's and Staff - You are by far the best and made it happen, world class. Mark and the LaRue Tactical team are world class and thanks for your generous sponsorship, hard work and dedication to the sport of 3 Gun. Thanks to all the Sponsors that support Multi-Gun. Shooters...thanks for coming and I think you were challenged a time or two and hope everyone learned something. The critical element of every mission is the de-brief/AAR, we conduct it to make our execution better. Don't care about the good, send me the bad, how I can improve and make it better. Don't worry, I am bullet proof when it comes to de-briefs. Adios Greg
  9. Ken, Contact Alfred at 512.259.1585 and he will square you away.
  10. Have not had any problem with Skeeters here, just fire ants. Stages are lookin pretty good. Weather is great 91 today and the wind was right across the pipe on the long range stages 8-10.
  11. I would like to pay tribute to a fella for all of his dedication and hard work to make this all happen. New Sponsorship Kryptonite Sponsor Mr. Fred Quarles Thanks Fred!
  12. No such thing as a dumb question. Mag coupler is fine and you may rest your magazine on the ground while engaging if you desire.
  13. Yes Sir, that includes tube/magazine and chamber. 9 rounds only.
  14. Yep, Linda is a Life Saver and could not have done it with out her.
  15. Yes, you will be able to drive your vehicle to the stages.
  16. More reason to shoot a .308 This year! 18 in Jim M ammo Hmmmm. I just got a POF 308. Wonder of it's to late to switch heavy! Nope, not too late but better tell Linda.
  17. I also set up all the rifle stages to be shot with a predominate cross wind. Know yer holds, it is windy here in Texas.
  18. I wanted to let everyone know the Benny Hill is donating one of his world famous $3000 pistols that I will raffle the pistol off at the match for a friend of the shooting community that is in need of our help. Tickets will be sold at the match for $10 each and all proceeds go to our Pal.
  19. Agreed. There is no doubt that a 10.5 or 11.5 CAN reach out to 500 accurately, but the loss of velocity will make that round drop like a stone past 300. Unless you are super nimble with changing your dope on the fly or if the match has a stage that is purely long range, the SBRs are just not nearly as versatile as a 16+. There are many stages that you will have to shoot out past 300 yards with varying distances and targets. A'int always 60 and sunny...
  20. If you choose to shoot a Saiga at my match...you will be challenged.
